Welcome
My name is Mikayla Voller (she/her) and I have expertise in providing individual psychotherapy and art therapy to teenagers, children, and young adults who are struggling with eating disorders, body image concerns, depression, mood disorders, self-harm, trauma, life transitions, and low self-esteem. My client are often creative people who express themselves through art, music, or writing. They tend to put others' needs above their own, and would like support with expressing and managing their emotions.
I wholeheartedly believe that my clients are capable of living their best lives, and I am committed to supporting them along the way.

Clinical Experience
I have more than 8 years of experience providing individual art therapy and psychotherapy at various levels of care. In addition to my practice, I currently work inpatient at a children's hospital, where I primarily see individuals 5-25 years of age with eating disorders, suicidality, mood disorders, self-harm, personality disorders, trauma, PTSD, anxiety, grief, and medical illness. I have also worked in partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs. Over the course of my career, I have provided support not only to individuals with mental health needs, but also to their caregivers and siblings.
Many of my clients are college students, coming to therapy to navigate life stressors, improve their self-esteem, and better understand themselves and their emotions.

About Me
I identify as a white, Korean, cisgender, queer, bi+, able-bodied, woman.
Spending time with my dog outdoors, reading, cooking, playing board games with friends, and making art are some things that bring me joy outside of my work. I’m a novice crocheter and film photographer (all of the photographs on this website are ones I took on my film camera!). I like feel-good TV like Parks and Rec and Abbott Elementary, and sapphic indie pop music like Muna and Chappel Roan.
I think it's valid to want to know about who your therapist is as a person. While therapy is focused on you, and there are boundaries I hold with what I share with my clients, I welcome you to ask anything that feels important for you to know about me.
